Maybe I'm a bit boring with my walks around Katowice, but what can I do if I simply like this city? Today we had the pleasure to show @priyanarc some parts of Katowice.

Rynek i okolice Spodka / Market Square and the Saucer area

Zaczęliśmy od rynku, podziwiać architekturę małą i dużą, jak i dumny napis I <3 Katowice. Następnie poszliśmy w kierunku Spodka, okolic MCK - Międzynarodowego Centrum Kongresowego i Muzeum Katowic na terenie byłej Kopalni Katowice. Wróciliśmy na rynek przez tereny Uniwersytetu Śląskiego i wpadliśmy na chwilę do Grecji (na rynku był zlot foodtrucków i postawiliśmy na souvlaki).

We started from the market square, admire the small and large architecture, as well as the proud inscription I <3 Katowice. Then we went towards the Saucer, the vicinity of the MCK - the International Congress Center and the Museum of Katowice in the former Katowice Mine. We returned to the market square through the University of Silesia and we came to Greece for a while (there was a food truck rally on the market and we focused on souvlaki).

Nikisz

Nikiszowiec to zabytkowe osiedle robotnicze pracowników Kopalni Wieczorek. Klimat niepowtarzalny. Niestety, do jedynej otwartej kawiarni była mega długa kolejka, a szkoda, bo idealnie odzwierciedla ona urok okolicy, sprawiając, że kawa i ciacho smakują jak nigdzie indziej.

Nikiszowiec is a historic workers' housing estate of the Wieczorek Mine employees. Unique atmosphere. Unfortunately, there was a long queue to the only open cafe, which is a pity, because it perfectly reflects the charm of the area, making the coffee and cake taste like nowhere else.

I tak sobie można spokojnie spacerować wzdłuż tych kamienic z czerwonymi farbami.

And so you can lazily walk along these tenement houses with red paints.

Uwielbiam to, że lokalne firmy zachowały swoje stare szyldy. O ile więcej tu uroku, niż w obecnej pstrokaciźnie!

I love that local companies kept their old signs. How much more charm here than in the present motley!
